
Benjamin Riley, MA is an editor, writer, classical guitarist, music educator, and adjunct professor. Ben combines his passions for editing, writing, and academic research in his current role as Editor, Reviews Journals at Springer, part of Springer Nature. In addition, he has written and edited articles, reviews, encyclopedia entries, and book chapters on topics in the arts and humanities, medicine, biological sciences, social sciences, and natural sciences. These articles have been published by Grey House Publishing, IGI Global, Life Learning Magazine, Routledge, Soundboard Magazine, The Envoy, The Fine Print, Tipping Points Magazine, and The Journal of Unschooling and Alternative Learning. Ben has also worked in a wide variety of writing and editorial roles, including as an encyclopedia editor, content editor, website manager, culture writer, journal manager, and associate editor. He is also a classical guitarist and music educator, with a Master Certificate in Guitar from Berklee College of Music, a Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from Nyack College, a Master of Arts in Music Theory from Hunter College – CUNY, and over a decade of performance and teaching experience. Ben teaches college level courses on classical music history, the guitar, rock music, and music theory, as well as private lessons in classical, acoustic, and electric guitar, electric bass, mandolin, ukulele, and piano. He is also an adjunct professor, teaching music courses in the Workforce Development & Community Education Program at Westchester Community College.
